The Secret Origins (v2) Index at dcuwiki is listing most character appearances as "first appearance" - meaning "first chronological appearance" which is true inmost cases. However, this is not correct since the term "first appearance" is implicitly reserved for the first published appearance of a character. And most if not all SO stories are about Silver or Golden Age characters.

These entries should be corrected, and the first published appearances of these character should be noted (as comments, at the very least).

Otherwise, keep up the good work.

I've noticed this myself but haven't gotten around to talking to Zilch about it yet, but I'm in total agreement that they should be corrected.

Yup. "First appearance" is used for the very first actual appearance of a character, not his/her earliest chronological appearance which as you know may be in a flashback or origin story years later.

Another thing I noticed in a couple of your indexes is that you sometimes list the same name twice in the links. For instance in Bloodhound you list Travis Clevenger as:

: '''[[Travis Clevenger | Travis Clevenger]]'''

If the link name and the name that should appear on the page is the same the name is only needed once:

: '''[[Travis Clevenger]]'''

However, if you need the link to say something different than the actual link then you need the second name just as you do with Saffron Bell for instance:

: '''[[Saffron Bell | Special Agent Saffron Bell]]'''

Finally for characters where we have more than one character using the same name and they are not differentiated by numbers, we usually do it like this:

: '''[[Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) | Green Lantern]]''' (Hal Jordan)

Instead of
: '''[[Green Lantern (Hal Jordan)]]'''

That makes it more consistent with what we've done on the old guide.
